The end of 2019 is quickly approaching! If you are in the Berks County area and are looking for a fun event to attend, try out any of the following New Year’s Eve activities!

Toast With a Ghost

At the Historic Brinton Lodge in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, you will get to spend your new year’s eve toasting champagne with a ghost. Not a champagne fan? No worries you can have beer or wine too! In this one-hour candlelight tour, a storyteller will recount the ghostly tales that have haunted the halls of the lodge for over 300 years. Tours will be available every hour starting from 6:00 p.m. until midnight.

Travel Back in Time at the Crowne Plaza Reading

This year, the Crowne Plaza is going back to the 1920s. If you are in the Reading area, don’t miss out on this fun New Year Eve’s party. For this party, there are two types of admissions, the “Old Money” and the “New Money”. Both admissions include a decadent dessert display, a champagne toast, a 4-hour open bar, and a dance party hosted by Bunch a Funk and DJ Serrano. If you decide to go with the “Old Money” admission, you can indulge in a dinner buffet from 7 to 9 p.m.

Have a Ball in Kutztown

If you are looking for an elegant evening, I recommend going to the Folino Estate for their annual New Year’s Eve ball. Although the price point is a little higher than the other events, it is well worth it. On top of live music, guests will be able to experience a four-course dinner and enjoy an open bar. If you are looking for a nearby hotel for the night, the Hampton Inn & Suites offers free transportation to and from the ball.
