The Fightin Phils will begin their season right about where they left off at the end of the last season with two major exceptions. However, when that might be is still up in the air. The coronavirus postponed the season indefinitely to keep its players and spectators as safe as possible, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get excited about the upcoming season, whenever that may be.

Alec Bohm, who led the Fightin Phils to the league’s best overall record, and Spencer Howard are sure to open the season. These two power players are some of the top prospects in the Philadelphia Phillies organization and even have a fighting chance to make the big leagues.

Assuming there will be a baseball season in 2020, the Fightin Phils boast a strong, young, and determined team. The roster will include 20 or more players who all gained experience on the field last year, giving them more confidence on the field when they do get to play again.

Can they beat their 80-59 record from 2019? Maybe. Only time will tell once the season gets going in full force. Until then, rest assured the players are taking much-needed time at home to regroup and strategize for the upcoming season to come back stronger than ever.
